Dance the night away

When the music started

My feet would tap

I couldn't help their sound

My shoulders shimmied

My hands went up

And my dress twirled round and round

I kicked the floor

And did a twist

The piano spread the news

The guitar sang

The horns blared

And the saxophone honked so smooth

With my hair undone

And feet on clouds

I flew from here to there

When that song was on

The world would hush

I danced away every care
